Your first day starts at 8AM with a meetup with our guide to depart on a 5-hour drive to Ba Be National Park.
First, stop over in Thai Nguyen City to visit the Museum of Ethnic Minorities in Vietnam. Then, move further to Ba Be National Park later in the afternoon for an interesting biography lesson.
This will be the finest time to discover the beauty of the lake located in the inmost recess of the jungle, at which you can join in a kayaking trip or swim in the jade-like deep water.
A full day 17-kilometer trek today will have you departed at Coc Toc Village, an isolated village by the lake. You will then follow the off-road trails along Pe Lu Stream in the middle of poetic rice fields and the lush jungle where you spend another 1.5 hours to conquer the steep slope, and finally, end up in a small Hmong village.
In the afternoon, continue the trekking trip up to Nam Dai where you get to be welcomed by the warmest smile of the little Hmong and Yao students from a local school.
Moving downhill afterward to the Wind Peak for a picnic lunch in an indigenous local Hmong community house. From there, follow the winding trails down the valley, sneak through the peaceful villages, tropical jungles, and the ripening rice fields to return to your homestay. If you make it in time, then freely spend the rest of the day swimming in the cool water before getting blown away by the romantic northern sunset.
Wake up early in the morning for an exotic breakfast before joining an exciting full-day cycling trip of nearly 25 km to other hidden parts of Ba Be National Park.
Get the ride started along the track from Pac Ngoi Village uphill to Vang Village. Make a short stop there and hike uphill to visit the silk-like Tat Ma Waterfall. The site is named as such due to the fact that the downpouring water gives out an exact look of a soft falling piece of silk.
Enjoy a swim or meditation under the waterfall before strolling down to Hua Ma Cave for an authentic lunch arranged at a local restaurant right close by the cave.
After lunch, hike up to Hua Ma Cave. This is where our guide reveal an awesome legend about this mystic place. Move further into the core of the cave and get ready to see the brilliant stalagmites and stalactites, which make it one of the most enormous natural cave across the Northeastern region of Vietnam.
Take a ride back to your homestay after an adventurous day later in the afternoon.
This last day of the trip is when you hop on the final 3-hour boat trip around the lake. Stop at the end of the lake to have a short walk down the paths around the lovely and tranquil Cam Village, where the freshest nature, local people and a rustic school is based.
Then follow the peaceful Nang River to Puong Cave, where you get to admire the mind-blowing stalagmites and stalactites and flocks of bats calling it their home. Arrive at Buoc Lom Wharf after that where you say goodbye to Ba Be and get back to Hanoi.
