On the third day, get ready to trek along Ma Pi Leng Pass for a stunningly beautiful view of the verdant valley down below encircled by rolling hills. Before your gaze is lush vegetation, falling away in steep slopes, sometimes shrouded in mist, depending on the time of the year.
Our next stop is Ban Gioc waterfall. In terms of quantity, it definitely takes some beating. You need a boat to get the best panorama, which is ready for you as you arrive. There are plenty of photo opportunities to capture Instagram-worthy shots anywhere. The waterfall is regarded as the biggest border waterfall in South-east Asia located right between Vietnam and China. Here you also have chance to admire the awe-inspiring nature and landscape of Cao Bang Geopark. Moreover, the ethnic Nung minority and their traditional handicrafts such as incense and knife making are worth life-time experience.

Wir buchten eine 6-tägige Reise der Majestät des unerwarteten Nordostvietnams bei einer deutschen Agentur, die Partner von Conical Travel ist. Wir sind etwas besorgt, weil wir zum ersten Mal in Vietnam waren, aber ich habe mich mit Windy von Conical unterhalten, der alle Fragen mit Begeisterung für uns beantwortet und nützliche Empfehlungen gegeben hat. Nach 2 Monaten haben wir endlich die Reise gemacht. Wir machten die Reise nach Ha Giang, Ban Gioc Wasserfall und Ba Be See mit unserem Guide Jack und Fahrer Hoang. Jack hat wirklich gute Arbeit geleistet, um uns alles über Bergregionen und ethnische Kulturen zu zeigen. Wir erfuhren von den Hmong-Leuten in Ha Giang, wir blieben bei den Nung-Leuten in Cao Bang und mischten sich mit den Tay-Leuten im Ba Be-Nationalpark. Die Landschaft dort ist auch großartig und ich kann mit Sicherheit sagen, dass ich noch nie zuvor eine so majestätische Landschaft wie diese gesehen habe. J’ai passé un excellent séjour au top Nord du Vietnam grâce à l’agence Conical Travel et le guide francophone très sympa Ivan.
Venant de la bassin grenobloise mais je suis quand même impressionné par les paysages montagnards ici. Ha Giang est la province au top Nord du Vietnam, une ville frontière avec la Chine, un bon choix à côté des grandes villes comme Hanoi ou HCM-ville. Où on peut visiter la cascade Ban Gioc dont une moitié est vietnamienne et l’autre est chinoise.
J’aime la diversité et j’ai rencontré des peuples dits “minorités” ici, ils sont tout amicaux.
