Start the tour with a warm meet-up with your guide at your hotel at 8 AM. After that, begin your incredible Hanoi bicycle tour 1 day.
You will then cycle first to Long Bien Bridge – one of the historical witnesses of Hanoi which was built by the French colony early in the 20th century. The bridge follows the architecture of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The name Long Bien also means “the dragon on the outskirts” because of its unique shape like a dragon. This site is indeed what you shouldn’t miss when you travel to Hanoi.
After time for a panoramic river view from Long Bien bridge, continue your pedal to the off-beat part of Hanoi – Banana Island. The island offers small cycling trails that get you through banana forests, cornfields, vegetable and fruit gardens. Chance for you to immerse yourself in nature in the middle of the capital city. You will have time to stop for photos and talk with some local people living on the island to understand their difficult lives.
Saying goodbye to Banana Island, you will then cycle to Co Loa Ancient Citadel. The site used to be the political center of the Red River delta during the 3rd century BC. Coming here gives you a great opportunity to witness the traditional village lives of the Hanoi people. On the way, inspire yourself with a feeling of peace in the middle of lush rice fields (only from March to May and from June to September)
Lunch will be ready in a local restaurant in Co Loa Citadel. After lunch, spend time exploring the surroundings with the ancient temples and pagoda. Listen to your guide about the brief history of the Au Lac dynasty and the citadel.
Finish your Hanoi bicycle tour 1 day by cycling back to Hanoi. If time permits, enjoy the romantic sunset with a loop around West Lake – the biggest lake in Hanoi.

Safe and Exciting
My partner and I had a wonderful day biking tour around Hanoi and the outskirts. The trip was very safe because we only cycled through roads with very little vehicle. Landscape was amazing with lush rice fields, buffalos, temples and local villages. Such an exciting trip. We highly recommend the experience!

The best city bicycle tour
The trip was the best cycle city trip we have ever done. Everything was 100% perfect. We did see and learn a lot about Hanoi from the trip, get off the beaten track along Red River. We would absolutely recommend the trip as an unique experience when traveling to Hanoi.
